Current Favorites!

So lately I've been obsessing over a few products so I decided to share with you all my current favorites at the moment. I seem to be grabbing for these everyday!

Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette:
I've really been enjoying the use of this palette, especially the mauve and purple tones. Such great pigmentation! Something about this palette makes me happy every time I use it lately!

Too Faced Melted Lipstick (Melted Pheony):
This is a sample size I received along with the purchase I made of my Too Faced Candlelight Glow Duo and I love this shade! It's perfect for a simple eye look when you want the slightest pop of nude pink! Last long too!

Too Faced Melted Lipstick (Melted Marshmallow):
Oh my goodness! After swatching and wearing Melted Pheony (and falling in love with that shade) I ended up going out and buying the new shade up and I'm so glad. Perfect barbie pink!

NYX Lip Liner (Natural & Nude Pink)
I've been pairing these two shades (not together at once, but on different lip looks) with my medium shade nude lipsticks and it really gives them a beautiful finish! It makes the color look more of a natural nude on my skintone.

NYX Black Label Lipstick (Heiress)
Another great nude pink to wear when I have bold eye looks or a softer look that I want to pair with pink toned nude

ELF Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick (Turkish Coffee)
I was using this as a color base when I used my Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette to tone down "Sonic" on my lid and it turns "Sonic" into a shimmery taupe, mauve jewel tone color!

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner (Black Black)
I recently went back to this lately since I have a feeling I may have a slight irritation or allergy of some kind to liquid liners. I'm totally glad I gave it another chance with a different application! This stays all day like my Kat Von D Liquid Liner. I've been applying it with one of my very thin small angled eyeliner brushes from Sonia Kashuk and it applies perfectly!

Review! Makeup Artist Shadows I918, I922, ME930! + Swatches!

About a month ago, I wandered into Sephora (which always seem to happen to me, I like to window shop in there!) and I stumbled upon Makeup Forever's new eyeshadow line; Artist Shadows. My jaw litterly dropped and my eyes were so huge when I saw the purples. I honestly can not stop talking about these three shadows I'm about to share with you!

I bought mine at Sephora. They were having a great deal on these shadows and I picked the "Pick any 3 shadows for $44 (Trio Palette Included). Each individual eyeshadow is #21.

Left to right: I918 Lavender (Iridescent), I922 Electric Purple (Iridescent), ME930 Black Purple (Metallic)

I922 and ME930 are extremely pigmented so a little bit is all you need!

Front of each palette (single, duo & trio palette) features clear view of shadow colors and the signature "Makeup Forever" name!

The back features "Artist Palette"

The palette itself was made very durable, so you can travel with it, throw it your everyday makeup bag or put it with the rest of your eyeshadow collection. The clear view is a nice addition for those (myself included) who have large amounts of palettes and have trouble finding colors they want at times!

Swatches! I918, I922, ME930 (without primer)

Pros:
High pigmentation
Long wearing
No fallout through wearing the shadows
Shadows come in a large variety of colors
Shadows have a magnetic base (for putting in z-palettes if you travel of accumulate more)
Single, duo & trio palette are great for traveling

Cons:
Pricey

Final thoughts:
I feel Makeup Forever had no flaws in these eyeshadows. They have such beautiful pigmentation and color pay off and the color variety is jaw dropping, especially when you see their display in Sephora! It's almost overwhelming. Makeup Forever has no disappointed me yet in any of their products so far!

Maybelline "The Smokes" Palette + Swatches!

Hey everyone! I'm excited to share this with you! I recently spotted and picked up the new Maybelline "The Smokes" palette at Walgreens for about $12. I was a fan of their twelve fan palette "The Nudes"and was excited to see photos of their "The Smokes" and "The Brights". I will sharing photos of the palette, colors and swatches of the colors. Please excuse my reflection in a few of the photos.

I will do a full review on this palette once I've had the chance to create looks with it and test out the wearing of these eyeshadow colors!

The front features a clear view of all the colors and the name "The Smokes"

The back features ingredients, and three looks featuring quads, trios, and duos and information about the palette itself.

It comes with a double-ended sponge applicator (which I ended up throwing out since I don't use them myself) The palette features twelve gorgeous colors that can create several night or day looks. It has five mattes and seven shimmers.

Swatches! I've primed these eyeshadows.

The first row has two mattes and two shimmers

This row is probably my absolute favorite! It has the most pigmentation out of all the colors in the palette. It has all shimmers except the last color is a matte with shimmer.

The last row has two mattes and two shimmers. Sadly, even with a primer, the second color barely shows up against my skin tone, it would be a great highlight color!

My final thoughts
- Highly recommend using an eye primer of your choice
Expensive
Travel friendly sized palette
Some colors aren't very pigmented
Some colors don't show up very well even with an eyeshadow primer

Review! Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette!

I've been obsessed with this palette since I purchased it! I never had the chance to get my hands on the Vice 2 and yet to have tried Vice. So with that being said, I definitely made it a mission to get my hands on this palette. I bought my through Beauty Impulse inside Macy's for around $65. I've been swatching the colors in the palette and playing around with different looks and couldn't wait to share this palette with you all! (Unfortunately, I forgot to get a shot of the matching makeup bag!)

This limited edition palette is extra slim and lightweight with a magnetic closure and features 20 never before seen eyeshadows!

Included:
Vice 3 Palette
Matching makeup bag
Matching double-ended eyeshadow brush (shader & crease)

The front of palette features the Vice name in green with a jewel tone effect to it on a mirror reflective case.

The back of the palette is a reflection green color with Urban Decay's general information and ingredients, product longevity, and cruelty-free symbol.

The eye shadow colors are very eye catching when you first open the palette. They're mostly jewel tone colors; six mattes and fourteen shimmers. The colors make eye looks endless from a neutral look to a smoky look!

I think I mention this all the time, but I'm a sucker for purples, mauves, golds and plums so this is my favorite side of my palette! You can most certainly whip up some fall looks with this three rows here.

Left to right: DTF (matte), Downfall (matte), Undone (matte), Truth (matte)

Left to right: Brokedown (shimmer), Heroine (shimmer), Freeze (shimmer), Dragon (shimmer)

Left to right: Bobby Dazzle (shimmer), Reign (shimmer), Lucky (shimmer), Vanity (shimmer)

Left to right: Sonic (shimmer), Bondage (shimmer), Alchemy (shimmer), Alien (shimmer)

Left to right: Revolver (matte), Defy (matte), Angel (shimmer), Last Sin (shimmer)

Matching double-ended eyeshadow brush (crease and shader) which is great for traveling!

My final thoughts? I've been obsessed with this palette. It's fall time so I've been grabbing for this palette for fall looks. I've fallen in love with Sonic, Bondage, Alchemy, Reign and Lucky as they make perfect fall eye looks. I'm very pleased with this palette as I am with all of my Urban Decay palettes. Great pigmentation, long wearing, easy to blend and work with and fun colors. I recommend grabbing this palette!
