May 2016 Favorites!

Hello beautifuls, it's that time again; monthly favorites! I can't believe it's already June! We're half way through the year!

Clinique Cheek Pop (Heather Pop):
This blush is another one of those perfect "soft pink mauve" blushes! It goes on so smooth and it feels like you're putting silk on your face.
Wet n Wild Highlighter & Concealer:
This little guy is about $5 and well worth it. You don't get much in the product but, for the price you get quality. I use this for concealing and highlighting my under area and it does wonders. Does crease or budge.
Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen:
I've mentioned the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner several times in empties and favorites and it's by far my top favorite liquid liner. But, I discovered this on the Sephora website and gave it a try; fell in love. It's an exact dupe for the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, and better! It's extremely black, stays all day, doesn't smudge, and it's forever to get this off.

Clinique Matte Lipstick (Matte Suede):
I've never tried any of Clinique's matte lipsticks, I didn't even know they had them! I got this in a bonus gift as a full size lipstick. It's a lovely shade of nude. It's not drying to my lips either, like some matte lipsticks do. Very soft and creamy.

Clinique Stay Matte Oil-Free Makeup:
This is always a go-to summer foundation for me. It's a medium to full coverage, holds up to sweat and humidity, blends very well, stays all, and controls my oil.

NYX Contour Palette:
I finally got my hands on this baby! I saw it in Ulta all the time but couldn't justify spending almost $40 on this because I was hearing mixed reviews about it. I found a bunch at Target on a new NYX display and I guess the prices have gone down. I was litterly drooling over this palette so my boyfriend

BeautyBlender Solid Cleanser:
I'm glad I went back to this cleaner for my brushes and makeup sponges, it just gets them clean! I still enjoy my Dr. Bronner's soap, they are amazing but, it can be hard to rinse out all the suds. I guess this added a new feature to the solid, they now have this little stand that you can use to dry your makeup sponge on or deep clean your makeup brushes - which is what I use it for! It's a great tool for it's small size, it gets all the gunk out of those brushes, even bronzer, which sticks so bad!

Redken High Rise Volume Lifting Shampoo & Conditioner:
I'll be honest, I don't normally spend a lot of money on shampoo/conditioner because for the longest time, I thought it was just to get your money and the stuff didn't even work anyway. I recently got my hair done (shortened with layers) and it's so full of life again! The stylist was washing my hair with this, first thing I noticed; the scent! It's very exotic and pleasing to the nose. This does give my hair volume without weighing it down or leaving feeling sticky, like I've had with past few volume shampoos/conditioners. Redken isn't cheap, for the both of these I spent about $35 but, worth it!

Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Two Day Extender:
When I got my hair redone, she recommended I not use the drugstore version of dry shampoo as they were dumping a lot of product in my hair and adding to my already dry scalp. She recommended this to use every few days to keep my style in. It works like a charm; no oil for two days!

L'Oreal Smooth Intense Frizz Taming Serum:
I've been using this after I shampoo my hair and it helps to help my hair from getting frizzy from being outside in the humidity.

Bath & Body Works Shower Gel (French Lavender & Honey):
This smells so good. It almost has a soothing scent to it.

EOS Shave Cream (Tropical Fruit):
In previous blogs and videos I've said I would never go back to scented or regular shaving creams because they irritate my skin but, this one hasn't done anything to my skin. Maybe they changed their formula, in the past I've had horrible luck with these creams (mess going everywhere, clogging up the razor).

Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub (Moroccan Rose):
This smells amazing! It smells like roses and pure sugar! It's less grainy than the other scrubs and makes my legs smooth. I use this as a pre-shaving scrub.

Estee Lauder Modern Muse Chic Perfume:
I got this for Christmas last year and I absolutely love this. It's very a feminine scent!

Guess Girl Perfume:
My boyfriend gave me this as a graduation gift. It's one of my favorites and it's a very girly scent.

Mini Haul! Ulta, Sephora & Target!

Hello beautifuls!

I'm starting to prep for some new blog posts and videos but, in the meantime, I thought I would do a quick post. A mini haul with Target, Ulta, and Sephora. I've been picking up new items, back up items, two room sprays, and my birthday gifts during the last month so these are all from different times.

I picked up my birthday gifts from Sephora and Ulta. My birthday was August 25. From Sephora, I received two miniature sized lip crayons in a gorgeous red and mauve nude shade. From Ulta, I received a deluxe sample of Urban Decay Perversion mascara, which I'm looking forward to trying out.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation:
The last time I picked this up, I got the wrong shade and it was terrible on me. I'm hoping I got the correct shade (the lightest shade they have). I really hope this works for me, I've been wanting to try this foundation out ever since it came out, since I've heard it's works so well with oily skin.

L'Oreal Miss Manga Rock Mascara:
Another mascara I've been wanting to try out! I loved the original Miss Manga mascara and really wanted to try this version out.

Hard Candy Fast & Fabulous Makeup Setting Spray:
I love this setting spray. This will be my second bottle of this stuff now. A great setting spray and $8? Why not? I had to pick this up!

ELF Daily Brush Cleanser:
I mainly use this cleanser for spot cleaning my eye, concealer, and eyebrow brushes. It's so inexpensive and fairly easy to buy at several places too!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer:
I love this concealer. I use this to sculpt and clean up my eyebrows and to cover up dark circles under my eyes.

Rimmel Stay Matte Primer & Pressed Powder:
This is another favorite primer of mine I like to use to keep my face and foundation matte and the pressed powder is my absolutely favorite go to for finishing powder!

Pacifica Kake Detox Deep Cleansing Face Wash:
I've been using their seafoam face wash for two years and I absolutely love that face wash. I found this one at Ulta and it's meant for "oily and acne prone skin", which is what I have. I hope I enjoy using this. I will definitely be doing a review on this!

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes:
I've been using these for almost a year and they are by far, the best makeup wipe to get all my makeup off, including long wearing foundations and liquid liners.

Tresemme Extra Firm Control Hairspray
Best. Hairspray. Ever.

January 2015 Favorites!

Happy Friday beautifuls! I can't believe it's already the end of January and the year just started! 2014 went by fast...

Today I'm sharing my January 2015 favorites with you all. I have some makeup, body care, brushes, and some random stuff I decided to throw in the favorites pile.

 Makeup:

Milani Matte Lipsticks (Matte Innocence & Naked):
Oh my, when I finally got my hands on these lipsticks, I was excited to try them out. I usually don't get too many matte lipsticks becuase they either dry my lips out or don't sit very well on my lips. These lipsticks are amazing! They are so creamy! They lasts so long, don't dry my lips out, and the color payoff is beautiful!

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer (Light/Medium):
I finally gave this bronzer another shot. I loooooooove it. No really, I do. I think I've found the perfect everyday bronzer for my skin tone! It's perfect, stays all day, and smells so delicious!

Milani Powder Rose Blush (Romantic Rose):
These blushes were limited edition a year or so ago, and I could never get my hands on them, never! They were always sold out and at select stores. When I saw that they were bringing them back as a permanent collection on their instagram page, I was excited! These blushes are a must have, especially if have pale skin like me. They are long lasting, wonderful smelling, high pigmented, and not bad on the price either.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit (Banana shade):
I finally got on the "Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit" wagon. For so long, I was told I should get it, it's great, blah blah blah.... I finally decided to get it with my 20% off coupon and points at Ulta for super cheap and I'm in love with banana shade. I use to set my undereye concealer and it sets it for the entire day with no creasing!

Maybelline "The Brights" Palette:
This is Maybelline's newest palette they released in the very beginning of this year. It's exclusive to Target, so it's very hard to find, if you find it at all right now. I have a full review and currently a tutorial up about this palette. I have loved with palette since I bought it. It's their best released palette in my opinion. Such pretty colors and pigmentation!

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Set & Spray Makeup Extender Setting Spray:
I've only liked a few makeup settings sprays in my entire makeup experience. Those by Urban Decay and Skindinavia. This one is amazing! It works just as well as my Allnighter Spray by Urban Decay. It holds my makeup in place all day and especially around my nose where I get the oiliest in my oily t-zone.

Brushes:

Real Techniques Buffing Brush:
I've been using a large stippling brush to blend out my bronzer, blush, and highlight, until now! I love this brush for that. Don't get me wrong, I still love and use my stippling brush for blending, but this brush gives the blending an airbrush look!

Real Techniques Contour Brush:
I haven't used this for contouring much, maybe just a little! I've been using it to pat on my highlight on my upper cheek bones and it does such a wonderful job! It puts on the right amount of highlight; not too much, not too little! Just enough!

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush:
I haven't used a foundation brush to apply foundation in almost a year or so now since I was so hooked onto using my beauty sponges to apply it. This brush it awesome! Not only does it apply foundation beautifully, it gives it an airbrush look, and the blending it does is incredible!

Sonia Kashuk Large Shader Brush (No. 203):
I picked this up early this month while at Target and was curious about trying it out. I've been eyeing it for awhile and thought, "why not!" It makes packing colors onto the lid so easy and fast! It great for inner corner highlight colors too!

Body Care:

Acure Coconut & Pumpkin Ulta-Hydrating Body Wash:
I loooove this body wash. It smells amazing. I found it at Whole Foods. It's so moisturizing, I don't even need lotion on my legs after a shower with it. I can ever shave my legs with it if I want. Acure makes such great products.

Shea Moisture Olive & Great Tea Body Wash:
Another body wash that I absolutely love! I'm so glad I finally tried this brand after seeing it for so long. It's such a great smelling, moisturizing body wash that leaves my legs feeling so wonderful after a shower. I can also shave with this if I want. My skin is also no longer dried, itchy, and red after starting to use this body wash.

Nubian Heritage Lavender & Wildflowers Body Lotion:
This is a wonderful body lotion. It definitely lives up to it's claims of being soothing, anti-inflammatory, and relaxing to tired muscles! My legs are so happy when I use this lotion. I have the beginnings of arthritis in my ankle and this really helps to calm it down after a long day on my feet. It has the consistency of a body butter, so I prefer to use it at night after a shower, but either way, it has really improved my skin. My skin is no longer itchy and dried out!

COMPLETELY RANDOM THINGS!

 Juicy Fruit Starbursts Gum (Strawberry):
This gum tastes just like strawberry starbursts. I can't stop chewing it!

Windex Electronic Wipes:
I really like these wipes for my Galaxy S4, iPad, iPod, Laptop ... all my electronics! They get gunky and greasy after a few days of handling and these wipes get all the oil from my face, hands, makeup, dust, and dirt off them!

Pledge Multi Surface Wipes:
My vanity and bedside table from all mirror furniture from the Hayworth Collection at Pier 1 Imports, and for the longest time, I was cleaning them with windex. Thankfully, I stopped doing that and used a cleaner specifically designed for mirrors. This gets all the gunk and powder off my vanity that collects throughout the week (and I mean... a thin line of powder is on my vanity by the end of week, haha!)

SimCity BuildIt:
Ooooh my goodness! I haven't been obsessed with a game this long since Guild Wars (and I still play Guild Wars, ever since 2007, haha) If you ever played the Sims, you know they the most demanding people ever! In this game, you have Sims living in your city and you have to keep them happy, healthy, and safe! It's like building a city, destroying it, rebuilding it, and playing with Sims at the same time! Fun addictive game!
